Bulls, Rockets target for Kevin Love trade after Carmelo Anthony signs?
By Bryan Rose
The Minnesota Timberwolves appear in no rush to trade All-Star Kevin Love and don’t appear likely to trade the power forward at any point before or during the 2014 NBA Draft. However, they may have another plan in place which they’re hoping will allow them to take advantage of a team after the free agent winds begin to die down.

With a handful of teams expected to entertain the thought of signing free agent Carmelo Anthony, the Timberwolves appear to have interest in attempting to either pawn Kevin Love off on a team who missed out on signing Carmelo Anthony or attempting to lure a team into a trade who signed Anthony.
"But, according to a league source, the Timberwolves are prepared to wait out the draft and instead focus on Plan B — taking advantage of the aftermath of the Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes. “There are going to be some teams left at the altar, and that is a good time to make a deal,” the source said."
The two teams specifically mentioned for a Kevin Love trade are the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets, though, that’s likely because both teams have shown such a strong interest in signing Carmelo Anthony (and Love, for that matter). Of course, for most teams to sign Anthony, they’ll need to gut their roster though maybe it’s the belief of the T’Wolves that they’ll be able to benefit from such.
It seems that a draft day trade would bring more value for the Timberwolves, but then again, I’m not atop an NBA front office.
