Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price had a lot on him mind on Wednesday. Not only did he start the day by getting the win in the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he also has to deal with the constantly swirling trade rumors.

However, none of that mattered during the night time because his alma mater, the Vanderbilt Commodores, had the chance to win a national championship in Game 3 of the College World Series against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Well, they were able to complete that journey on Wednesday night as they won the decisive Game 3, 3-2. During the game, and afterward, Price took to twitter to show just how proud he was of the school that he attended.

There aren’t too many Major League Baseball players that spend their time in the college ranks–well, at least not as many as some of the other major sports, which is why it’s that much more special to see Price going so ballistic after such a huge win.
