Johnny Manziel has been at the center of the college football universe for the last two years as the former Texas A&M quarterback had a penchant for the spotlight which has some believing the Cleveland Browns quarterback could be headed for severe wake-up call in the NFL.

Manziel’s offseason activities, including a Memorial Day weekend trip to Las Vegas, and other assorted nightlife activities has only increased the exposure on the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner now that he is in the NFL, but the No. 22 pick in the NFL Draft isn’t about to change his lifestyle to appease anyone.
“I’m not going to change for anybody,” Manziel said at a rookie Play 60 event Friday. “I’m going to enjoy my time off.”
“I want to wake up with a week and not have my name going through something,” Manziel said. “And I’m working on getting better at that, but if I want to go back home and spend time with my friends or go out and enjoy my weekends I absolutely have the right to do that.”
How a player spends his offseason or time off from football is really none of our business as long as he’s not breaking the law or doing anything dangerous that could jeopardize his career with the Browns and Manziel doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong.
“I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong,” Manziel said. “Everybody on the weekends goes out and enjoys their life. Just for them, they don’t have people that when they walk into a place pull out their phone and all they want to do is follow me around and record everything.
Manziel is right, he’s not doing anything wrong. He isn’t taking time away from his teammates, he hasn’t broken the law as so many of his NFL brethren have done this offseason and he’s not doing anything uncommon that hasn’t been done by you, me or a number of people Manziel will be competing against on Sundays.
