Despite signing the free agent Tate away from the Houston Texans this offseason, the team has been said to be mighty impressed with what the former MAC star, West. brings to the table, and it has even led some to believe that West could shove the veteran Tate to the side this fall and take the starting job.
Well, according to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland, there is a possibility that West could be the starting running back for the Browns, but only through injury.
Filling in pretty well for Arian Foster while in Houston, Tate has proven that he can be an effective back in the league, although he has yet to prove that he can carry the entire load for a team throughout all 16 games, which is what would be expected of him in Cleveland.
Quite frankly, being a rookie, West hasn’t proven himself neither, obviously, but that’s what makes this battle interesting to watch play out over this summer.
