Now that Miami Heat forward LeBron James is reportedly back from his vacation, the real fun in NBA free agency can begin.

More from LeBron James

Although most believe James, along with teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, who all opted out of their contracts to become unrestricted free agents, will eventually re-sign Heat, it is no sure thing. In fact, according to most reports, James is the most likely to leave.

One surprising team that is in the chase for James is the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have a young, talented team and finished with 48-34. Adding James, re-signing restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe, who is a friend of James, and potentially adding another very talented player, would make the Suns into a legitimate title contender.

According to Chris Broussard of ESPN.com, James’ agent, Rich Paul met with Suns’ owner Robert Sarver in Cleveland on Wednesday and the two discussed pairing James with either New York Knicks’ forward Carmelo Anthony or Bosh in Phoenix.

James averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 56.7% from the field, 37.9% from three and 75.0% from the charity stripe this season. Anthony put up 27.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and shot 45.2% from the field, 40.2% from beyond the arc and 84.8% from the free throw line last season. Bosh went for 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 51.6% from the field, 33.9% from three and 82.0% from the free trow line.
