The LeBron James saga has hit maximum overdrive on Wednesday as the Cleveland Cavaliers, the favorite to bring the star back to their organization, traded Jarrett Jack as part of a three-team deal that cleared $24 million of cap space, signaling that the trigger on a deal with James might be pulled soon.
Still, that has not stopped some from believing that LeBron will not be going anywhere and he will ultimately return to South Beach following his upcoming meeting with team president Pat Riley on Wednesday, and that apparently includes other NBA GMs around the league.
Among GM's, there's still belief LeBron James walks into Pat Riley meeting, lays out his 1-2 year max contract proposal and stays w/ Heat.

While some have all but counted the Heat out of the race to re-sign James, it can’t be ignored how persuasive Riley is at negotiations. Case in point, he’s the one that ended up creating the Big Three back in 2010 with James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. While LeBron certainly could be leaning in the direction of heading back to Cleveland, one short talk with Riley could change all that.

Of course, it won’y so much be about the money, rather Riley will have to convince James that he can get the necessary talent around him to make sure that something to the extent of what happened in the most recent NBA Finals against the Spurs will never happen again.
But, the clock is ticking on that at the moment.
