It sounds more and more likely that LeBron James has finally decided on his future home. Nobody knows if he’ll be joining the Miami Heat or the Cleveland Cavaliers (maybe he’ll shock us all and do neither) but there have already been reports suggesting that Bath Township police will be increasing their police presence around LeBron James’ home this evening.

Is that in preparation because they are fearful of negative reaction if James is to pick another team? Nope, in fact Phil Trexler of the Akron Beacon Journal says local police are preparing for a celebration, leading to the obvious assumption that there is basis for a potential return to his ‘hometown’ Cleveland Cavaliers.
Of course, this is just one of many reports that will swirl around LeBron James’ looming decision and nobody really knows where he’s going to sign at this point.

However, going against the initial report, NBC News says that Bath police are not preparing extra police reinforcements at this time:
Bath Township, Ohio police -- home to Lebron James -- tells NBC News they are NOT preparing for an announcement or extra police details.

Still, with everything that has come out in recent days there does seem to be a looming sense that LeBron James is at minimum heavily considering a return to his hometown team despite four straight trips to the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat.
Such would send a ripple effect throughout the NBA and certainly change the culture of the league, so all eyes are pressed on what’s to come.
