Rookie signal-caller and LeBron James pal Johnny Manziel was the first Browns quarterback to sound off on the James signing, but Brian Hoyer also took notice.
Hoyer’s recognition of the LeBron signing held a deeper meaning, however, as he drew inspiration from “King James'” gospel.
On Twitter, Hoyer tweeted out a quote from the letter that James penned for Sports Illustrated, and there is no doubt about what Hoyer was referring to.
Hoyer is set to enter a training camp battle with Manziel for the team’s No. 1 quarterback position, so the quote that he sent out was perfect for his current situation.
Hoyer couldn’t have nailed that tweet any better.
All signs point towards Hoyer earning the starting job at the beginning of the season, so we will learn early on just how true LeBron’s words are and whether or not they apply to the Cleveland football team.
