The Baltimore Ravens have had an offseason of headaches, as they’ve gone from the Ray Rice allegedly beating up his wife in an elevator to cornerback Jimmy Smith getting arrested for disorderly conduct.

Headache doesn’t even begin to explain it but we’re at least starting to get new details about the latest Baltimore Ravens arrest. Smith was arrested on Sunday after he acted out in what police called disorderly conduct.
According to Ravens beat writer Paul Gessler, the reason for Smith’s disorderly conduct arrest was because he refused to stop helping a woman who was overdosing on cocaine when police asked him to back off.
It’s hard to determine what is more weird about all of this — the fact that Smith was arrested or the fact that he was arrested for freaking out over a woman overdosing on coke.
Smith is a cornerback in the NFL though, not a doctor, so he probably shouldn’t have been helping anymore when the police arrived and mouthing off the cops is always a really poor idea.
Either way, the fact that cocaine is in anyway involved in his arrest is a major red flag for the NFL and even though it seems he was just trying to do the right thing, Smith might have just gotten himself into a lot of needless trouble.
