Oregon State’s Sean Mannion the most NFL-ready senior QB in college
Sean Mannion is one of the most underrated players in college football as the Oregon State quarterback doesn’t get mentioned along with the other top signal-callers in the country, but that’s all about to change in his senior season with the Beavers.

Pac-12 fans know who Mannion is after he launched an aerial assault on opposing defenses last season, but elected to return for his senior year after the NFL Draft advisory board projected him as a third round selection.
NFL Media Analyst Bucky Brooks believes Mannion is the most pro-ready senior quarterback in college after watching his film and seeing him at the Elite 11 and Manning Passing Academy.
"“He might be the most pro-ready of the senior quarterbacks. Part of it is just the fact that he is playing in a pro-style system,” Brooks said. “His arm, he can make all the throws. He really understands how to get through his progressions from his primary, to his secondary, to his third read. Because he’s played under (Oregon State head coach) Mike Riley, at the next level, the verbage and all the things that come that give some quarterbacks problems, he should be able to understand that.”"
Mannion is coming off a season that saw him complete 400 passes for 4,662 yards and 37 touchdowns for the Beavers, but because he plays in the Pacific Northwest and had a number of underclassmen live in the limelight, Oregon State’s quarterback may be the best kept secret in college football.
Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Bryce Petty, Braxton Miller and Brett Hundley get the headlines, but it’s time to add Mannion into the mix as one of the best field generals in the game.
