Carlos Boozer rumors: Houston Rockets interested?
By Bryan Rose
The Chicago Bulls have yet to use their amnesty provision on Carlos Boozer and despite an alleged reluctance to do so, the expectation is that Boozer will be cut before the Wednesday deadline. If that does happen, multiple teams are expected to show interest in signing the veteran power forward.

One such team with possible interest are the Houston Rockets, this according to Pro Basketball Draft.
Houston has made a couple of ‘big man’ additions in recent days, though none of them have the ability or talent of Carlos Boozer. Add in that his deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball would likely be hidden by Dwight Howard and Boozer makes obvious sense for the Rockets.
Of course, if Boozer is amnestied by the Chicago Bulls he will go into the bidding process and it’s questionable if the Houston Rockets would be willing to pony up enough cash to grab him, especially given the vast amount of interest in the former Duke product.
The Bulls have been attempting to trade Carlos Boozer for months at this point, though his albatross of a salary makes any deal difficult which is why they’re now facing a possible amnesty situation in the face. It’s also possible the Bulls may keep Boozer on their roster and attempt to use him as a trade piece later this season given his expiring contract, though being amnestied seems like the more logical conclusion at this point.
Regardless, it appears as if the Houston Rockets will be watching the situation very closely.
