There’s never been a question regarding the talent level of Rajon Rondo who has emerged as one of the premier point guards in the NBA. Some players, like fellow former Kentucky star DeMarcus Cousins has went as far as to suggest he’s the best in the league.

But that doesn’t appear to be a sentiment shared by some fellow NBA players who seem none too happy to play alongside the temperamental point guard. In fact, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, some players may have allegedly decided not to play for the Boston Celtics because of Rondo and his attitude.
A Twitter exchange between Goodman and Celtics Blog brought up the topic of trading Rondo, where the ESPN scribe dropped the nugget of info.
This of course isn’t the first time there have been whispers suggesting players were frustrated with the salty personality of Rajon Rondo, though I don’t ever recall a scenario where players wanted to avoid playing with him.
It seems silly to think that a player would avoid signing a free agent contract with the Celtics in effort to avoid Rondo, though, it’s not completely outlandish given some of the demands and requirements we’ve seen from free agents in the past.
Still, like him or not, there’s nothing that would turn a player off about Rondo on the court as he’s a hard worker who never takes a play off. Potentially irritating personality or not, as a player you want to win games and that’s something Rajon Rondo is going to help you do.
