In the release, Bolden said that he’s happy and seems excited to get started on this final journey of what has been an interesting college football career, to say the least.
“I am happy to be home with a new start and look to make my final year special,” added Bolden. “I appreciate the opportunity that Coach Creighton is giving me and look forward to an exciting season. The support of my family
has been tremendous throughout the entire process and I thank them all for that. I look forward to seeing all the fan support for our team at ‘The Factory’ in August.”
Bolden has indeed had one of the more peculiar college football careers. Back in 2010, he became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for Penn State in 100 years. However, his play steadily declined and he opted to transfer to LSU in 2012.
The move to LSU was a bit confusing to some, seeing as Zach Mettenberger had a firm grasp on the starting quarterback position, so Bolden would more than likely no be seeing any playing time.
Having recently graduated from LSU with his Bachelor’s Degree, he will be eligible to play immediately for EMU this upcoming season.
