The Cleveland Browns have opened training camp this week, which means that it’s now time to get back to watching Johnny Manziel play some real football. Although, things won’t be as easy for him this year as they appeared to have been with Texas A&M the past two seasons.

With training camp opening up, Manziel is not the starting quarterback of this team. Veteran Brian Hoyer is grabbing that distinction at the moment, meaning that Manziel will have to work harder than he ever has before at the game of football to get some significant playing time.
That won’t just happen on the practice field. No. Manziel’s biggest opportunities to show that he’s ready for this level will come when he takes the field for the preseason for the very first time with the Browns.
Very shortly, Manziel will take the field at the professional level for the first time, which should will most certainly be must-see TV for anyone that follows the game of football.
So, when will this happen? When will Johnny Football see his first bit of NFL action?
Well, that will take place on Saturday, August 9 against the Detroit Lions inside Ford Field in Detroit, which should be a fun game to watch play out.
But, that will be the first time that we see Johnny Manziel on the field playing in an actual NFL game.
