In last year’s training camp, the Atlanta Falcons were dealt a crushing blow when they lost wide receiver Julio Jones to a fractured foot that required surgery. But this season, so far early on in camp, he’s looking like the old Jones that was considered one of the best wide receivers in the game.

According to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure, Jones is looking explosive, and he’s not being hindered one bit by the surgery that he had to undergo to fix the fracture.
While he might not have fixed everything that was wrong with the Falcons last season, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that he was sorely missed on the field and it’ll be a gift this season to have him back out there, especially if he’s back to his dominant self.
With this offense losing tight end Tony Gonzalez, Jones will now become even more of a focus in the passing game than he already was previously. So him being at full health by the time the season starts is essential to this team getting back to the top of the NFC South, where they were just two seasons ago.
