Michael Beasley rumors: Miami Heat, other teams sniffing around
By Bryan Rose
The Miami Heat still have plenty of work to do if they’re to compete in the Eastern Conference this season. But with few options available in free agency, the team could be considering bringing back Michael Beasley.

The forward is still without a team though Hoopsrumors says the Heat have shown interest in bringing Michael Beasley back and believes that other teams have been ‘sniffing around’ on the idea.
"The Heat have been the only team identified so far, but I’m sure some other clubs are indeed sniffing around. He’s not going to get more than the minimum, but I could see him at least getting a guaranteed deal this time around."

In all seriousness, the Miami Heat (and other teams) could do worse than bringing Michael Beasley in on a small contract. No, he’s not much else than a scorer, but that’s what you need off your bench and he can shoot with a rather effective clip.
Of course, there are problems with his lack of focus (something LeBron James was allegedly frustrated with) and his lack of an overall game, but beggers can’t be choosers at this point in free agency. Add in that he’s likely to come at a very cheap price and there are far worse moves that can be made. Either way, it’s safe to say that signing Michael Beasley to a cheap, one-year contract isn’t going to make or break your season no matter how talented of a roster you are.
