Minnesota Twins Rumors: Kurt Suzuki trade value being sabotaged?
By Josh Hill
The Minnesota Twins are looking to sell at the deadline this year but they’re having a hard time finding teams to move pieces to thanks to either market trends or thanks to their own doing.

When it comes to Kurt Suzuki, there is a little bit of both going on.
According to Jayson Stark from ESPN.com, the Minnesota Twins could be killing and/or sabotaging the trade value for Kurt Suzuki thanks to telling every team that calls them that they’re actively trying to re-sign him and plan to in the offseason.
"Teams asking the Twins about Kurt Suzuki are being told Minnesota hasn’t given up on signing him, and it’s possible the team could keep him past the deadline and revisit potential deals in August."
This may not be the only thing killing Suzuki’s trade value as he’s the only starting caliber catcher on the trade market and only a handful of teams seem to be even remotely interested in acquiring him. Still, the Twins can’t be helping themselves by telling teams that they’re still in love with the trade chip they’re trying to pawn off to another team.
