A Cleveland Browns fan vented his frustration on the grave of arguably the biggest villain in Cleveland sports history. Now it appears he’ll pay for that outburst. After videotaping his act of urinating on Art Modell’s grave, the man responsible will face charges of disorderly conduct, and could face up to two years in jail and a $500 fine.

The Associated Press reports that authorities will press charges against a man who has only been identified as a Browns fan, which is fitting given the crime. Mention Modell’s name to any Browns fan and you’ll feel the heat rise in the room. None of that emotion excuses this rash act though, according to Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger.
"“Everyone who has buried a loved one has the right to believe that their final resting place will be treated with respect,” said in a written statement. “Bringing charges against this individual should act as a deterrent to others and assure the rest of us that no matter who you are, indecencies will not be committed against your final resting place.”"
Art Modell’s son David agreed with the State’s Attorney, saying, “We are a country of laws. Just because you’re angry, that doesn’t mean the laws no longer apply to you.”
There’s no word yet on when the man will be charged and to what extent the State’s Attorney will pursue charges. For now, it’s fair to assume that this man will regret having taped this little moment.
