Everyone is anxiously awaiting to see what the NFL decides in the case of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, who is facing a year-long suspension for a second failed drug test. They are especially anxious to see what will happen, given the extremely light suspension that was recently handed down to Ray Rice following his domestic violence incident involving his current wife.
Whatever the case may be, as Pro Football Talk reports, there will be no in between when the ruling comes down on Gordon. He’ll either be gone for a year, or released with a very stiff warning not to let it happen again.
"For players in Stage III of the program, a positive test automatically triggers a one-year suspension. For Gordon, then, only two options exist: full-year suspension or no suspension at all."
For whatever reason, there were some of the belief that Gordon could, at the very least, have his sentence reduced to maybe half of the season, but the rules in place will not let that happen.

As if there was not a big enough spotlight on Gordon’s case before, the two-game suspension that was given to Rice has put more eyes on this case than ever.
If Gordon is given the full year suspension, then Roger Goodell will probably not like the majority of the questions that he’ll be asked.
