One player who was mentioned more and more in the last few hours was Cleveland Indians infielder Asdrubal Cabrera and it sounds like he’s going to be on the move to the East Coast.
After looking for infielding help all week long, the Washington Nationals have made a move to acquire Cabrera from the Indians to help replace Ryan Zimmerman in the lineup as the team makes a push towards the postseason.
Cabrera is an excellent talent for the Nationals to add and they didn’t have to give up much to get him either, which is something that makes this deal even better as the Nats roster is largely intact from where it was not too long ago. Injuries aside, the addition of Cabrera makes the Nats an even more deadly threat in the National League as they continue to be a team to watch in the second half of the season.
