Baltimore Ravens list C.J. Mosley as starting linebacker on depth chart
By Jack Crosby
When the Baltimore Ravens drafted Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley this past May, it seemed like the perfect fit. Mosley, who tore through the SEC for the Crimson Tide during his time in Tuscaloosa, would blend right in with an organization that has traditionally prided themselves on their defensive efforts.
Well apparently the fit was what we all thought it would be because on the team’s initial depth chart, Mosley is listed as the starting weak-side inside linebacker, ahead of second-year player Arthur Brown.
Really, there are a lot of people that aren’t particularly shocked about this, seeing as Mosley could bring a nice breath of fresh air to this defensive unit as they look to get themselves back into playoff contention.

Mosley was one of the best linebackers in the entire country, not just the SEC, the past few seasons, and this team has needed to fill the void that was left by the retirement of Ray Lewis.
Now standing in for Lewis is a tall order for any player, but if there is anyone that could come close to pulling off the feat, it’s Mosley. And we’ll see him begin that process in the Ravens’ first preseason game later this week when he steps on the field for the first time.
