No matter how great of a player you are, no matter the sport, if you suffer a career threatening injury you will be tentative upon your return. Suffer more than one in consecutive seasons and being tentative is likely the least of your worries.

When Derrick Rose returned to the Chicago Bulls after a torn ACL last season, there were some obvious growing pains. He wasn’t the same player we had grown accustom to, at least not for the time that we saw him on the floor. Of course, we didn’t see him very long as just ten games into his return after missing over a year of basketball, Derrick Rose was out again with a torn meniscus.
It was another crippling injury to the former league MVP and understandably there was concern if the former Memphis Tiger would ever be the same player. But Rose, who has been participating with Team USA in Las Vegas has looked absolutely flawless. Granted, it’s been nothing more than practice and scrimmages but we’ve seen the Chicago Bulls star going all out, giving 110 percent effort on both sides of the court.
Compared to other players who’ve had similar injuries, it’s a bit of a shock to see Rose playing so well but the All-Star talent is confident as ever, not only suggesting that he’s completely healthy but stated that he’s no longer worried about his knee.

"11. I think that I’m back. I’m not worried about my knee anymore."
While a lot of players may state such in a similar scenario, it’s their play that does the talking. And for Derrick Rose, so far his play has been indicating he’s ready to tear up the NBA once again.
