We define the trade deadline winners and losers a bit differently on the fantasy side of things. In real life, you know the winners were the A’s and Tigers. In fantasy, the winners are a bit harder to identify. They can be players that weren’t even involved in a deal! Today we will take a look at which players “won” at the fantasy deadline. Adjust your own trade targets accordingly!

- Fantasy Baseball: Hot pitchers worthy of starting this weekend
Arismendy Alcantara, Cubs: He went from prospect with upside to starting second baseman in two days with the trades of Darwin Barney and Emilio Bonifacio. He is an intriguing pickup in most leagues.
David Peralta, Diamondbacks: He should be the big winner with Gerardo Parra on the way to Milwaukee. This frees up an everyday spot in the outfield for him. He is hitting over .300 with some speed and power. Pick him up in all moderate or deep leagues.

Allen Craig, Red Sox: Craig should play every day, whereas he kept losing at bats to Oscar Taveras in St Louis. The potential is there for him to have a good two months.
Yoenis Cespedes, Red Sox: Moving out of spacious O.co Coliseum and into cozy Fenway Park should give his power numbers a boost.
Jake Marisnick, Astros: He will get the chance to shine where he didn’t with the Marlins this year. It could pay off in a big way for him and fantasy owners alike.
Jarred Cosart, Marlins: Moving to the National League should help Cosart quite a bit. Moving to a team that can consistently score runs is also good for him.
Felix Doubront, Cubs: A change of scenery, and getting out of the AL East should help him out quite a lot.
Justin Masterson, Cardinals: He will have a powerful offense behind him, and won’t be asked to be the ace. That and a switch to the NL spell good things for Masterson.
Stephen Drew, Yankees: Drew is going into a great situation for him as an everyday starter with the Yankees. That said, if he fails, the media will crucify him.
Tom Milone, Twins: Yes, he is starting at AAA, but he will be in the majors long before September 1st, and could be the best major league ready pitcher the Twins have.
Come back tomorrow for the deadline losers!
