Andre Drummond praises Derrick Rose, talks Paul George
By Bryan Rose
Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond doesn’t have a spot on the USA Basketball roster just yet, though he’s hopeful to be given an opportunity thanks to Blake Griffin and Kevin Love both pulling out of their commitments.

He’s also hopeful that his Detroit Pistons will re-sign restricted free agent Greg Monroe, but the former UConn product knows that’s not a decision left up to him.
Arriving in Los Angeles after his two-week stint in Las Vegas training with USA Basketball, Andre Drummond was captured arriving at LAX where TMZ cameras caught up with the young big man and asked him about his time in Sin City.
As Drummond was attempting to walk to his ride, the camera man asked the Pistons forward/center about Paul George, who on Friday night suffered what is likely to be a season ending injury. Drummond, for what it’s worth, went out of his way to answer the question and suggested that the Indiana Pacers star was in ‘high spirits’, though it’s not known if he went to the hospital to visit George like so many of his Team USA counterparts.
In addition to Paul George, Andre Drummond was also asked about Derrick Rose, who has played just ten games in the past two seasons as he has dealt with his own significant injuries.
Drummond, like most everybody else watching Team USA’s practices gave a glowing endorsement of the Chicago Bulls star, suggesting that he was a ‘Ferrari among Nissan’s‘. I’m guessing Drummond all but destroyed any hope of a Nissan endorsement, eh?
