The NFL has been under fire for handing down only a two game suspension to Baltimore running back Ray Rice after he was charged with domestic assault, and now there is going to be even more controversy after the latest, ridiculous revelation about the NFL’s “investigation” into the incident.

More from Baltimore Ravens

In a tweet from Paul Pabst of the Dan Patrick Show, it was revealed (via Jay Glazer) that the NFL missed a key piece of evidence when reviewing Rice’s case:

The infamous elevator tape shows Rice dragging his unconscious wife Janay Palmer from an elevator after their fight. Authorities may not have made the clip available to the NFL, but that shouldn’t have mattered since it was and is all over the internet.

Apparently no one in the league office knows how to use Google or is aware of the existence of YouTube. Do they even know that computers exist? How do they keep track of all the money they’re making, a bunch of monkeys with Texas Instruments calculators?

It seems outrageous that the league would have made their determination on the length of Rice’s suspension without reviewing a key piece of evidence that is readily available to the public, but there it is.

There’s no explanation for it except willful stupidity and massive arrogance.
