You’re be hard-pressed to find a person in the country at this point who doesn’t know who Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is, right? The name alone, at this point, just rolls right off the tongue.

Well, that is unless you’re Cleveland Browns legend, and probably the best running back of all time, Jim Brown, who really didn’t seem to know Manziel right off the top of his head.
In speaking to the NFL Network recently about his old team and the things they’re doing, Brown described Manziel as, “The quarterback they brought in to back up the quarterback.”
“Unbelievable,” Brown said. “It’s great to see all of those guys in the parking lot. I was driving by and said, ‘Holy smokes.’ This is like a regular-season game. The people are excited, and they excited because (of) the new guys in town, by the young players that they’ve brought in, and the quarterback that they have brought in to back up the quarterback. So there’s an excitement about what action has been taking place. The coach and the general manager have given them something to look forward to by the personnel they have chosen.”
To that point as well, I guess you can say that he doesn’t know who Brian Hoyer is, neither. But still, it’s rare that you hear from someone that can’t just toss out the Manziel name immediately when he becomes the topic of discussion in anything.
