C.J. Spiller hopes to stay with Buffalo Bills through 2014 season
By Jack Crosby
The hot topic of discussion around Buffalo Bills training camp this summer seems to center around whether or not starting running back C.J Spiller will actually be with the team when the regular season rolls around. After the Bills acquired Bryce Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason and gave Fred Jackson a one-year extension recently, the trade rumors have been swirling.

Well Spiller certainly hopes that he doesn’t end up getting dealt somewhere else. At least that’s what he recently expressed in an interview with Buffalonews.com.
“I have friends and family members that inform me on some of the things that are being said with the trade rumors,” Spiller recently said, via The Buffalo News. “I’m not oblivious to that stuff. I’m not living on Mars or anything. I can’t control what happens. My response to them is ‘don’t worry about it.'”
“Once you start worrying about that type of stuff, you get off focus of what you’re trying to do. Until anything happens, I’m excited to be with the Bills and hopefully I’ll be around for this coming season.”
It’s been no secret for the past few months that the Bills have been interested in dealing Spiller, who is in the final year of his contract. They fielded calls, ironically enough, from the Philadelphia Eagles a couple months ago, and then attempted to trade up in the draft for Carlos Hyde, who ended up with the San Francisco 49ers.
