It will be said time and time again that many of the minor moves made at the trade deadline can have a significant impact on how the playoff races in both leagues shake out.

Solid players are on the move in transactions that might get overlooked this time of year, especially at a deadline that saw headliners like Jon Lester and David Price on the move.
The Milwaukee Brewers made one such move when they added versatile and athletic outfielder Gerardo Parra from the Arizona Diamondbacks. While Parra’s offense is down this season, his ability to help the team in multiple spots and help the quality of their outfield defense could make a big difference.
That played out exactly as the Brewers might hope in a tight game against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night. With a one-run lead, one out, and two runners on base in the 8th inning, Jeremy Jeffress induced a foul pop-up off the bat of Brandon Crawford.
Parra raced over and made a great sliding catch, stealing an out for his new team and keying their efforts towards an important 4-3 victory.
What’s even better for the Brewers: Parra also delivered a solo home run in this one.
