The 2015 recruiting class for South Carolina got even stronger on Friday afternoon with the commitment from four-star offensive tackle Christian Pellage (Brooksville, Fla. Nature Coast Tech) who became the 26th commitment for the Gamecocks.

The 6-7, 282-pound offensive tackle is the nation’s No. 252 recruit overall regardless of position, No. 27 offensive tackle and the No. 36 recruit in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Pellage picked the Gamecocks over offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida State, Florida and Ohio State, but ultimately the decision came down to South Carolina and Miami.
It was a special connection and feeling he had at South Carolina that won out in the end as he told 247Sports’ Ryan Bass.
“The thing at South Carolina, I just got this feeling that I haven’t really felt anywhere else,” Pellage said. … The feeling I got at South Carolina, I couldn’t explain it. It just felt right.”
Pellage cites his relationship with Gamecocks offensive line coach Shawn Elliott as a vital reason for his leaning toward and ultimately picking South Carolina.
“I’ve met coach Elliott a couple of times, but that camp was my first time working with him,” Pellage told 247Sports’ Ryan Bass. “I just felt this connection. I feel like he can really take me where I want to be and get me a lot better.”
With the addition of Pellage, South Carolina now has commitments from three offensive tackles and the class currently ranks as fourth best in the nation and the third best in the SEC, according to the 247Sports team rankings.
