During Chandler Parsons tenure as a member of the Houston Rockets, he and James Harden appeared to be the best of friends. However, after Parsons decided to sign an offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks, a verbal spat between the two began.

More from Dallas Mavericks

Parsons, for what it’s worth kept his mouth shut but James Harden, along with Dwight Howard, decided to take some digs at their former teammate. The two all but suggested they wouldn’t miss the small forward which lead to a bit of a back and forth between Parsons and Harden.

Despite the public disagreement, Chandler Parsons previously stated that the two players were on much better terms as of now, something that James Harden recently echoed himself.

"Harden said there have been no hard feelings between he and Parsons. He added that the topic did not even come up during USA training camp.“I won’t feed into it,” Harden said. “Chandler and I have had plenty of conversations, especially lately. Everything has been overblown. I’m happy for Chandler. He’s in a great situation. I wish nothing but the best of luck for him.”"

While it’s understandable that James Harden and Dwight Howard were a bit upset that Chandler Parsons decided to join with the Dallas Mavericks, a division rival, they know as well as anybody that it’s business first. Add in that the Houston Rockets front office had every opportunity to match his contract and it’s difficult to fault the former Florida Gator for taking the money.

Hopefully their relationship will continue down a positive path though few NBA matchups will be more intriguing than the Rockets/Mavs this season.
