The incident in question involved Tony Stewart striking a fellow driver on a dirt track with his car and killing him, something that has caused an intense reaction from fans and those around the sports world who are upset not only with the incident but the fallout that has occurred.
While there are no criminal charges pending against Stewart, many believe that he shouldn’t be racing on Sunday afternoon in a NASCAR event, but that’s exactly what is going to happen. Fans took to Twitter to vent about the decision for Stewart to race less than 24 hours after killing someone on a dirt track.
A lot of people putting this decision on NASCAR. I understand that but, my view, Tony Stewart should be the one pulling himself out today.

NASCAR executives have three hours to come to their senses. Tony Stewart simply can't race today.

Tony Stewart is so "visibly shaken" by striking, killing sprint car driver Kevin Ward, Jr., Sat nite that he plans to race today.

Can't believe Tony Stewart is racing today. Whether there was intent or not, out of respect for Ward's family, he should sit this one out.

Tony Stewart's decision to race today is a terrible PR move in what will already be a very damaging incident to his brand.

To be honest I can't believe NASCAR would let Tony Stewart race today. Seems kinda......idk, help me out with the word I'm looking for.
