Kobe Bryant: I feel like a race horse locked in a barn

There’s never been any doubt regarding Kobe Bryant’s competitive spirit. Some might say his drive to win is too high considering it has destroyed relationships, though as Bryant has continually maintained, he’s not playing professional basketball to make friends.

What he is playing for is another NBA championship, something he believes is the Los Angeles Lakers goal this season. It’s a bit outlandish considering their roster, but after missing all but six games during the 2013-14 season, Kobe Bryant is ready to get back on the court.

In fact, he suggests he’s feeling a bit like a caged animal.

“I can’t wait to return to my duties on the court,” Bryant said. “I feel like a race horse that has been locked in a barn for months. I want to get out.”

Any player who has missed nearly a year of action would likely feel the same, though considering Kobe Bryant’s unrivaled tenacity to produce, his desire to return to the court is probably at an all-time high. I mean, this is the same guy who was pushing himself to the physical limits in effort to return sooner than medical professionals would have preferred.

Still, aware that his playing career is dwindling down, Kobe Bryant is ready to give it all that he has.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott says he believes that Kobe Bryant has another three years of high-level basketball remaining, though, it would be interested to hear what Bryant himself believes.

Might be a rough season in Southern California though Bryant is going to do everything he can to put the Lakers in the playoffs, a tough task to say the least.
