Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix Suns haven’t talked in four months
By Bryan Rose
The Phoenix Suns say their relationship with Eric Bledsoe is good. They still hold out hope to re-sign the talented two-guard and believe he can be a fixture with their franchise for years to come. That’s evident by their four-year, $48 million dollar offer.

Of course, Eric Bledsoe isn’t so sure. He wasn’t intrigued with such an offer and all but came out and suggested that the Phoenix Suns were playing dirty, using restricted free agency against him. Maybe they are, but that’s part of the business.
Also part of the business is Eric Bledsoe’s attempts to re-sign with the Phoenix Suns, or possibly a lack of.
Speaking to Arizona Central, Suns owner Robert Sarver said they haven’t spoken to Eric Bledsoe in four months.
“Maybe that’s just posturing and negotiating,” Sarver stated. “We haven’t heard from the guy in four months, so I couldn’t tell you. I do know that when he played here, he felt good about the organization, his coaching staff and his teammates at the end of the season. We had the same feelings toward him.”
Uh, say what? In short, the Suns and Bledsoe haven’t had a conversation since April? Maybe not directly, though clearly there has been discussion between the organization and Bledsoe’s representation. Still, that’s certainly a bit odd that the two sides haven’t spoken. Of course, I’m going to guess Phoenix’s offseason addition of Isaiah Thomas didn’t exactly help matters considering Bledsoe likely took such a move as a slap in the face.
Certainly a bit of a salty situation brewing between the two sides.
