The Oklahoma Sooners have officially filed Dorial Green-Beckham‘s eligibility appeal, according to CBS Sports’ Jeremy Fowler.
#Oklahoma has officially filed Dorial Green-Beckham's eligibility appeal, per source. In hands of NCAA. Now the Sooners wait.

Green-Beckham transferred to Oklahoma this offseason after he was dismissed from the Missouri Tigers program for off-the-field issues stemming from a burglary investigation.
Oklahoma was reportedly optimistic about the appeal in early August.
Transfers are required by NCAA rules to sit out one year when they transfer from one FBS program to another FBS program, but Oklahoma’s appeal for Green-Beckham will center around the fact that he was never charged for the incident that resulted in his removal from Missouri.

According to The Oklahoman, “OU will appeal using the so-called “run-off” waiver, created by the NCAA a couple years ago for players who were removed from their programs for reasons beyond their control. Oklahoma State’s basketball team added senior point guard Anthony Hickey, a three-year starter at LSU, and Hickey was granted immediate eligibility under the run-off rule.”
Having Green-Beckham this season would do wonders for Trevor Knight and the Sooners offense who have little in the way of experienced receivers on the roster as Oklahoma hopes to win the Big 12 and earn a berth in the first College Football Playoff.
Green-Beckham had 53 receptions for 883 yards and led the SEC with 12 touchdowns last year as a true sophomore.
He was virtually unstoppable in the SEC Championship Game against Auburn when he had six receptions for 144 yards and two highlight-reel touchdowns.
If he is ruled ineligible this season he will be eligible for the 2015 NFL Draft after being three years removed from his high school graduating class, so it is possible he could never play a down for Oklahoma.
