Even though the running back position is being de-emphasized in college football, there are plenty of talented backs returning for the 2014 season.

He may not be the most talented by Wisconsin Badgers’ running back Melvin Gordon was the most productive. Gordon rushed for 1,609 yards and 12 touchdowns on just 206 carries. With James White moving onto the New England Patriots, Gordon may have even more opportunities in 2014.
Two SEC backs, T.J. Yeldon of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Todd Gurley of the Georgia Bulldogs, can make a case as the nation’s best back. Another SEC back, Mike Davis of the South Carolina Gamecocks, is considered a dark horse Heisman candidate. Byron Marshall of the Oregon Ducks may be the most explosive of the bunch and should have a huge year as the Ducks’ top back. Karlos Williams of the Florida State Seminoles, who spent almost two-and-a-half years as a defensive back, shined when he switched sides last year.
Our friends over at Bovada were kind of to send over props for each of those players and you can see those below.
