While some players have suggested the fear of injury won’t stop them from playing with Team USA, if they continue to happen there might be a change of heart.

Another injury took place today when DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings went down during a practice conducted by Team USA in Chicago. As of right now there is no word of how DeMarcus Cousins was injured or the severity, however Chicago Bulls beat writer Nick Fridell says Cousins left with trainers.
Cousins had some minor back and knee troubles last season with the Kings that forced him to miss an occasional game, though it was nothing serious. Hopefully that’s the case this go around and thankfully it doesn’t sound as if he was hurt too badly considering he was able to walk off the floor under his own power, be it with trainers aiding him.
Players, fans and franchises are of course on high-alert after Paul George of the Indiana Pacers suffered a season ending knee injury during Team USA’s scrimmage in Las Vegas, so the last thing anybody wanted to see was another player go down hurt.
Assuming that DeMarcus Cousins suffered any type of significant injury, we’ll provide an update but for now hopefully it’s nothing more than a minor sprain, tweak, or bruise and Cousins will be able avoid missing any prolonged stretches.
