The Cleveland Browns are still waiting to hear just how long they will be without star wide receiver Josh Gordon, who met with Harold Henderson for his appeal hearing earlier this month.

Gordon blames second-hand smoke for his failed drug test.
The NFL tests two separate samples when conducting a league-administered drug test, and if the league would have labeled the samples differently, Gordon would never have tested positive for marijuana.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the appeal hearing that was presented to Henderson had plenty of testimony from both sides so that has led to the delay as Henderson tries to sort through all of the information to determine whether or not to uphold the yearlong suspension that Gordon is facing.
Even if Gordon’s appeal is successful, the most likely scenario is that he will miss eight games at the minimum.
While having Gordon on the sidelines for eight games is still a big loss for the Browns offense, it is better late than never when it comes to getting him back on the field.
