Of all the Johnny Manziel controversies big and small this offseason, none was bigger than the one that ensued after THAT photo. You know the one I mean. The one that showed Manziel doing something suspicious with a $20 bill in a nightclub bathroom.

More from Cleveland Browns

THAT photo caused consternation for many people, including everyone in the Cleveland Browns organization. It also raised some concerns for Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter, who battled his own drug addiction issues during his time.

Carter spoke about THAT photo and his worries for Manziel during an appearance with Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio.

"Carter: “That offseason with Johnny Football really disturbed me”Mike Greenberg: “It did?”Carter: “Yes. And that incident in the bathroom… That will not leave my memory bank anytime soon. And I’ll leave it as that”Greenberg: “Well I understand what you’re saying. And obviously that created a lot of concern. A lot of people were concerned about his off-season. But now he’s in there…”Carter: “I wasn’t concerned about his offseason. I was concerned about that picture in that moment.”"

Carter later elaborated on the precise reason for his concerns:

"Carter: “I have lived the lifestyle and I have been in the world enough to… (pause)… You talkin’ about red flags.”After going to commercial break, Carter expanded on this thread.Carter: “I’ve been very fortunate. I’ve had 100 dollar bills in my pocket. I got a few in my pocket right now. But the only time I ever rolled up a 100 dollar bill, it was meant to do something. And for him to let that concept even be put out there. In the public eye? Like to me I’m concerned about that.”"

Carter has raised concerns about other people in the past, including Josh Gordon, and been verbally slapped down for it. Some have argued that when Carter raises concerns it’s less about Carter wanting to help and more about Carter exploiting someone else’s situation to get himself attention.

Whatever you think of Carter, you have to admit he has experience in the area of rolling bills to use them for stuff that you’re not supposed to do. So if he’s concerned about Johnny Manziel? Maybe we should all be concerned about Johnny Manziel.
