Minnesota traded away Josh Willingham and Kevin Correia this month and are still getting calls about potential deals.
If the Twins have done one thing right this season it’s put together a solid and deep bullpen, which is why so many teams in need of relief pitching are calling up Minnesota. Despite the interest though, it appears that the Twins are done making deals for the month.
This doesn’t mean a deal won’t be made later in the season, as September trades happen all the time, but the playoff roster eligibility date is at the end of the month which means that anyone the Twins trade in September won’t be eligible to be on the postseason roster, thus lessening the chances of a contender making a deal.
