It’s been a season of poor first pitches, but actress Jessica Alba seemed determined to break the mold on Sunday afternoon.

From 50 Cent to Miss Texas, it appears the art of throwing a baseball has become null and void though not every high profile entertainer/celebrity/persona lacks the skill.
Such was proven by Jessica Alba as she took the mound at Dodger Stadium, dressed in her favorite customized Los Angeles Dodgers uniform with her ponytail ready. She didn’t appear nervous in the slightest bit, rocking back and forth on the rubber before throwing a rather solid pitch to the dish.
Yes, it bounced, but keep in mind the small framed Alba decided to throw it from the pitching rubber. That’s not something we see very often as many times the ceremonial first pitch will come from the infield grass. All in all, although it was a wee bit outside, I say Jessica Alba did very well.
Of course, as previously noted, this doesn’t look to be the first time she’s thrown a baseball either. Alba, who even went full wind-up before tossing out her first pitch, is known to enjoy the sport and apparently played softball when she was younger. Given that, it’s not exactly shocking that she completed the first pitch and didn’t embarrass herself like so many who tried before her.
Also, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been winning the talent portion of the first pitch competition as just a few weeks ago, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigan also threw out a first pitch.
