The Florida State Seminoles have the best quarterback in the nation. Now they just have to figure out who he’s going to throw to. Rashad Greene is the indisputable No. 1 wide receiver for the Florida State Seminoles. If the season started today, Christian Green would start beside him. As far as Jimbo Fisher is concerned though, he’s got depth behind the Green(e)s.

”I feel very comfortable with eight guys in that rotation right now,” Fisher said, via the Associated Press. ”That’s not playing them all, but I’d feel very comfortable if they had to go into the football game.”
The 2014 Draft class left the Noles scrambling for an answer at wide receiver. Both Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw moved onto the NFL, which left ample opportunity at the position. The only problem is that no one has seized that opportunity.
Green’s reputation isn’t exactly sterling. Kareem Copeland writes, “Green (6-foot-2, 204 pounds) caught 13 passes for 157 yards in 2013 and did not show any consistency in his first three years after catching 26 balls for 450 yards as a freshman in 2011.” His advantage for the starting role isn’t necessarily safe. Others in the mix include Scooter Haggins, Kermit Whitfield, Bobo Wilson and five-star freshman Travis Rudolph. And if Green continues to be inconsistent, it may be a deal breaker.
”I don’t care if it’s a senior, freshman, sophomore, whoever,” receiver coach Lawrence Dawsey said. ”I’m just looking for guys to be consistent making plays. If we have to use a committee or one steps up, it doesn’t matter. We’re just looking for consistency.”
