Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been under the spotlight ever since he has burst onto the scene with Texas A&M. In the NFL, the attention has died down and before his first career regular season ever kicks off his every move has been monitored and dissected.

While most of that has been contained to his off-field antics in the offseason before training camp, namely trips to Las Vegas and partying, it finally crossed over to the football field He was caught on camera giving the Washington Redskins bench the middle finger.
That has only amped up the Manziel criticism and directed more attention to him. Manziel is trying to downplay his role and lower his profile and hoping to redirect some of the attention to Brian Hoyer, calling him the starting quarterback.
“I’m the backup quarterback, I shouldn’t be in the spotlight,” Manziel said, via the Associated Press.
That likely won’t cause any of the Manziel circus to die down though, if we’ve learned anything from what we witnessed with Tim Tebow. The Denver Broncos shipped him off to the New York Jets to back up Mark Sanchez and ESPN was still infatuated with Tebow showing him running through the rain shirtless at training camp for days it seemed like.
