Phoenix Suns rumors: Attempting to trade Eric Bledsoe?
By Bryan Rose
The Phoenix Suns have been rather patient with restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe, though it appears as if they’ve hit their breaking point.

According to Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver, the team has not spoken to Eric Bledsoe in four months and it doesn’t appear as if the two sides are getting any closer to a contract. Earlier this offseason the Suns offered Bledsoe a four-year, $48 million dollar contract but the former Kentucky Wildcat talent all but scoffed at such an offer before later suggesting the Suns were doing him dirty.
Now it appears as if the Suns have tired of the act and are looking to trade the young guard.
That’s the word from Jude LaCava who appeared on FoxSports 910 radio and stated that Bledsoe is now on the trade block (H/T Bright Side of the Sun).
"“I’ll tell you this, and I think this is the first time it’s reported,” Jude LaCava said on Tuesday, “I do believe in my NBA sources. You can take this to the bank, so to speak, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for Eric Bledsoe.”“That’s the new chapter to this and I wouldn’t back off of that information. I think it’s 100% correct.”"
If Eric Bledsoe really isn’t interested in signing the Phoenix Suns contract offer, it’s a move the franchise has to make. They certainly don’t want Bledsoe to sign a one-year qualifying offer because he’d be an unrestricted free agent at season end and such a deal would also give him a full no-trade clause.
Maybe it’s a ploy from the Suns front office in hopes of getting Eric Bledsoe to sign on the dotted line? Or maybe they’re honestly attempting to make a move, especially now that they signed Isaiah Thomas as a potential replacement.
