One major hold up int he trade was the 30-day waiting period that needed to happen after Andrew Wiggins signed his rookie deal with the Cavs but that period is going to be over in the next 24 hour which means that the long awaited trade may finally be finalized.
According to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune, the 30-day waiting period on Andrew Wiggins is up on Saturday and that’s when the massive Kevin Love trade is expected to be finalized.
"The 30-day waiting period on the Kevin Love trade ends Saturday, when the Wolves are expected to finalize and announce the franchise’s biggest player transaction since it sent away superstar Kevin Garnett seven years ago. The trade specifics, however, were confirmed as final Thursday night by the Star Tribune."
The Philadelphia 76ers are now a part of the deal as they’ll be sending Thaddeus Young to the Wolves in exchange for a package that doesn’t include Anthony Bennett. There’s no guarantee that the deal will be finalized on Saturday but there’s a chance it gets done tomorrow and then officially announced first thing on Monday.
