The Cleveland Browns are taking on the St. Louis Rams on Saturday night in their third preseason game of the season, and to say that things are not going well in the first outing with Brian Hoyer as the official starting quarterback would be an understatement. Currently at the half, the Browns and Hoyer trail the Rams, 20-7.

But that does not mean that there wasn’t at least on bright spot in the first half for Hoyer and the offense.
Down 20-0 with seconds to go in the second quarter, Hoyer hit wide receiver Andrew Hawkins with this five-yard touchdown pass that you can view in the video provided below.
But again, that’s about all the Browns have to feel good about in this one.
Hoyer finished the first half 10-of-16 for just 84 yards with the touchdown you see above and an interception. They can’t really seem to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball.
The second half, though, will bring out the polarizing Johnny Manziel, who after the first half by Hoyer, has a real good chance to get back into the coaches’ good graces if he can perform at a higher level.
Oh yeah, and as long as he doesn’t flip anyone off either.
