Since the day LeBron James decided to leave the Miami Heat in a favor of return to the Cleveland, the speculation around Cavaliers’ swingman Andrew Wiggins and Minnesota Timberwolves’ power forward Kevin Love has grown. The two finally agreed to a deal last week and finalized it last week. The Timberwolves sent Love to the Cavaliers and received Wiggins and forward Anthony Bennett. The Timberwolves also received Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for point guard Alexey Shved and forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. The 76ers are also landed a first round pick from the Cavaliers.

On Tuesday, the Timberwolves officially introduced their new acquisitions.

According to Andy Greder of The St. Paul Pioneer Press, Wiggins is just relieved the trade is finally done.

"Soon after, the tone changed as the prospect of Cleveland trading Wiggins for Love became a plan. Wiggins signed a rookie contract that triggered a 30-day, league-mandated blackout period in which no trade could take place.Wiggins said he felt “kind of lost.”Once the moratorium was over, the trade took place Saturday, and Wiggins had a new home in Minnesota.“It was a big relief,” Wiggins said. “Now, it’s solidified. I’m situated in a spot where I know I’m going to be at for a very, very long time. It’s comforting.”"

Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the Jayhawks last season while shooting 44.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free throw line..
