Orlando Magic’s Victor Oladipo learned a lot from Miami Heat players

Orlando Magic rookie Victor Oladipo was everything the franchise could have asked for during his rookie season, but there was understandably room for improvement.

The No. 2 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Oladipo is understanding of such and in fact embraces learning, telling the Fort Wayne News Sentential that he’s always ready and willing to better his knowledge of the game.
That’s part of the reason the Orlando Magic guard decided to return to Indiana University this offseason where he worked out with former college teammate and Charlotte Bobcats big man Cody Zeller. He wasn’t the only NBA player in attendance though as Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat along with Udonis Haslem, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole were also taking part.
Between them, there’s a vast amount of NBA championship experience and Victor Oladipo says he was all ears during their time together.
“It was good. Me and Cody learned a lot. Those guys are champions, man. They have NBA championship rings. Between all of them, it’s like 12 to 13 NBA rings,” stated Victor Oladipo. “It was great for us to experience them, watch film with them, see how they pay attention to detail and how they take their craft serioius. It was big for me. I took a lot from it. I know Cody did the same.”
While the Miami Heat might be an in-state rival of the Orlando Magic, it’s nice to see some of the more experienced NBA talent like Wade and Haslem passing along their wisdom to the next generation of stars.
