On Friday afternoon, the team announced the releases of ten players including veteran punter Brian Moorman and quarterback Jordan Palmer, who the team signed earlier this week. Moorman has spent more than a decade of his professional career with the Buffalo Bills, with two brief stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers coming after he was cut for the first time in Sept. of 2012.
The remaining eight players who were given their walking papers were linebacker Xavius Boyd, defensive tackle Landon Cohen, tight end Dominique Jones, cornerback Kamaal McIlwain, cornerback Sam Miller, fullback Evan Rodriguez, receiver Naaman Roosevelt, and center Jared Wheeler.
The Bills will still have some work to do before announcing their final roster.
All 32 teams around the NFL will need to make their final cuts for the 53-man roster before Saturday afternoon’s deadline which comes at 4 p.m. ET.
