Although Durant recently had another one of his many Nike shoes released recently, many figured Durant would be switching brands.
The growing company Under Armour was reportedly ready to make a huge pitch by Durant. They were expected to use their location to sway the Thunder star.
Under Armour is run from Baltimore, Maryland and Durant is a native of Washington, D.C. Durant has made his love for his hometown no secret, which has also led to speculation he may join the Washington Wizards when he can become an unrestricted free agent in two years.
However, it looks like it may not be enough.
According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Nike has countered Under Armour’s offer for Durant and will be keeping him.
