The Denver Nuggets have one of the best forwards in the game but they need to start paying him as such or he may bolt to someone who will.

Kenneth Faried is dominating with Team USA at the moment and that means he will more than likely be in fo a nice payday in the near future. But the big question is who will be the team to pay him, as Denver still hasn’t extended him and need to soon.
According to Marc Stein, Faried wants to stay in Denver which places the ball firmly in the Nuggets court when it comes to re-signing their superstar in the making.
Faried clearly wants to stay with Nuggets and is mounting quite a contract drive as negotiations continue on extension to keep him in Denver

The clock is ticking though on getting Faried a new deal, as the extension deadline is on Halloween.
Nuggets and Faried have until Halloween to finalize extension or Team USA's emerging energizer will become restricted free agent next summer

Faried hitting unrestricted free agency may almost certainly result in a max contract as someone will throw as much money as they can at him. His performance with Team USA has proven that he can flourish in the right environment and could be a guy that contenders see as a missing piece to their dynasty puzzle.
